NY is a basketball mecca. Dudes play ball here as soon as it hits the 60's and there's no snow on the ground.

shyt in JHS we were playing ball outside in the yard any day that our hands were not too hard from the cold to make good bounce passes.

In my neighborhood you can literally hear a ball bouncing at like 6 AM because someone is going to Fort Greene Park or any of the other parks in the area to practice or get an early start on some pickup games.

Nothing burns reading Leafs/Canadian Olympics as this is essentially common knowledge to us (and something we bytch about ourselves.)

The Summer Olympics bothers me more as we have enough people to be able to show out, yet there is still a lack of serious funding (unless it's the Winter Olympics....)

Nice! That doesn't happen anywhere else, including California where it doesn't snow, and I'm sure that translates to success for the knicks, right?

Man, this is Texas A&M without any doubts. After living in Texas for awhile now, these dudes talk all types of mess thinking they're the kings of college football. They've never won anything. They got sonned by Texas on the regular and they're not an elite SEC squad. Where did this pride come from? :dahell:

The Chi (South Side)
NY Knicks
  • 2 NBA titles ever
    • None since 1973
  • 8 conference titles since 1946
  • major troughs of mediocrity and failure between those conference titles
  • Holds on to this imaginary basketball 'mecca' title
Atlanta Hawks
  • 0 nba titles
  • 0 conference titles
  • 0 conference championship appearances
  • greatest player was traded for the ghost of danny manning
  • gives itself imaginary nicknames on a regular basis
  • I could continue but you've seen the thread
The Entire SEC outside of Alabama, Auburn, LSU, TN, Georgia, and FL
  • The rest of the conference has a combined 5 national titles
  • the rest of the conference has a combined 9 conference titles
  • This is since 1933 ^
Philadelphia Eagles
  • Zero superbowl wins
  • 2 NFC titles
  • Didn't win the NFC EAST ONCE during the entire 90s
Chicago White Sox

  • 6 pennants and 3 WS since 1901
  • 5 division titles...ever...hasn't won the central in 6 years
  • greatest player ever frank thomas never won nothin
Oregon Ducks Football
  • Zero national titles [that shiny new cupboard lookin REAL bare]
  • Zero heisman winners
  • Losing bowl record
  • Didn't win the PAC 8/10/12 for a 40 year period after 1957
  • 6 all americans...ever
Toronto Maple Leafs
  • you haven't won a cup since 67
  • You've never won a conference title because you haven't been good since the conferences existed
  • I don't think I need to continue
Canada in the Summer Olympics
  • you have been ABYSMAL at the olympics in the past 30 years [and i'm only choosing that era because its worse as I go further back]
  • For point of reference in Beijing they had 332 athletes. They won 19 medals. France had 343 and won 41. For a country of your size how can you field less and win signifigantly less than the french? The FRENCH?
The historic Big East basketball
  • Georgetown - 1 national title
  • Syracuse - 1 national title [and they dipped]
  • Villanova - 1 national title
  • St. Johns - zero national titles
  • UCONN - you get my respect, but you too dipped
  • a lot of talk and little delivery, notorious early tournament exits, and you let the AAC and ACC run a train on your history
The San Diego Chargers
  • never won a superbowl
  • went to the superbowl once and got MOLLYWHOPPED in a game so bad it almost ruined the superbowl as an event
  • Reguarly owned by the rest of the AFC west

I voted the hawks. that resume is :scusthov: status.

however when it comes to the sox, the big hurt technically has a world series ring since he was on the roster that entire season. also has 2 MVP's and made the HOF first ballot, so it's safe to say he's done a lot of a :win:
