Tennis, just off off the strength of SerXena's 2-Decade Dominance:ohlawd:

...some of the top NBA prospects didn't even make it thru a full season:camby:

Meanwhile, she still Goes HAM:wow:

I though this was question was going to be in terms of popularity so which womens sport is close to or higher in terms of popularity compared to men.

:childplease: Everyone already knows men are physically superior to women hence why practically any damn physical "sport" (not a game) is separated by gender :aicmon:

Womens basketball?
Golf?
Legends football League? :shaq:

Tennis?
Soccer?

Something else?
I think i'd put a womens volleyball team against men's

Volleyball is my second favorite sport and watching vball tournaments i could see a womens squad giving men's squad the work

Im NOT talking about that 2-on-2 crap called beach-volleyball , BTW:ufdup:
Im talking full-squad 6-on-6 volleyball

Lol at brehs saying tennis.

I remember a few years ago, a coach who knew Aravane Rezai told me she could keep up in rallies with her brother but once they played with serve & returns, it was wrap. Aravane was then in the top 30 and her bro was not even ranked in the ATP Top 1000.

I'd say Serena would lose to any top 100. Of her footwork alone lately, she wouldn't be able to keep up in longer rallies. She has the power (less powerful than the average male tennis player but still) and the serve but she's way too slow for men tennis. I'd still be interested to see what she could do against a top 200 though I'd bet on the male :lolbron:

lol at saying tennis. Glad somebody pulled the story where the Williams sisters were getting their asses beat.
The gap between men and women in everything is mindblowing.
I remember the womens national soccer team was scrimmaging random D2 and D3 men's college soccer teams.
The womens basketball coach of Uconn has admitted that his team has gotten ran out of open gyms by groups of random guys that play tournaments on weekends....and his teams consistently go undefeated or lose 1 game during the season

I think the closest gap would be Ice Curling.
Its basically professional floor sweeping.

All the countries with traditionally subservient women like Sweedan and Japan dominate over or US team and other countries with the whole 'why is it a woman's job to sweep?' mentallity. Its fascinating to see.

I watch it in the olympics. The women spend the whole match yelling "HAAAAAARD! HARD! WHOA... HARD! GOOO! HARRD!" :jawalrus: I'm not kidding. Its crazy.

As for the nba, Cheryl Miller in her prime would be a first round draft pick in the nba. Lisa Leslie in her prime could play in the nba, just wouldnt be the dominant threat she is in the wnba. In the wnba she is Shaq. In the nba she'd be like... Sam Perkins or somebody.
:mjlol:

But make no mistake, Sam Perkins was still good enough to be in the league, just wasnt a top player.:yeshrug:
