I was anti beats just like the rest of the audiophiles until I got my hands on the wireless model. Now while I do agree there are better and cheaper they're not as plentiful as some would have you think. I also firmly believe that your eq has to be tweaked to perfection. But keeping with the thread here are the some of the best headphones I've ever used. Cost me $50,

The Philips O'neills. They were my go to pair until one ear went out which might not be the headphones fault. The wire got mangled in a vacuuming accident.

All those headphones are like 200+, I might as well get beats if im going to spend that much.. Fact is Beats are still around because they look and actually sound good, I'm not a producer or DJ I dont care for all that stuff only "audiophiles" can hear.

Those are all $100 less or even cheaper than comparable beats studios and all can be found for around $150 or less if you look around. Like I said, I like beats but I have atracs and vinyls of all genres of music so the limitations of beats are apparent then. But it really boils down to your personal preference and what works for you.

I have a set of Bose headphones and a set of Beats. I personally enjoy the Beats more. Not sure why they're knocked as much as they are. It's almost become trendy to trash them.

Same for me. Nothing beats my Bose QCs on the plane but I use my Beats Studios for everyday listening and exercising. Have no issues with the prices...

Beats are just a hypebeast fashion statement. Sound quality is ass when you consider how much they cost.

Sennheisers are the best for me, but I still don't get these companies making headphone that a nikka can't change the damn wire :beli: only a select few have that. But the worst is that you can't find the actual cable to replace, not even online.

All that may be true but to topic was asking why beats are still popular, so the answer is they look good, they have a good cosign/marketing and they actually sound good for rap music. The price is almost irrelevant, you see how much jordans cost? So until someone does all three of those things better you will continue to see beats succeed.......

but we all know it's because of the illuminati :demonic:

Fasho man, I got some Beats hoping I could get recruited. :lupe:

I have Dre beats just for regular causal listening and I have some seinhiessers and AKG for my production and studio work. The beats are decent for listening but I wouldn't mix or master or do critical listening with em. I got em with a discount from my job.
