When i first watched it, i immediately thought he must be facing towards the camera but if you freeze frame it, and use your imagination, you can train yourself to see the person moving in either direction

If he was facing the building, he would block the top bar when he passes it. You see the top bar in front of him which means he's swinging away from the building.
