The problem is the passe acceptance of a clear lack of respect for Japanese women
and their personal space.
It isn't up to Japanese men to beat some sense into dudes who should have it already.
I won't deny that they'll likely have problems in the future with keeping more Japanese children being
born and will have a very large aging population which will be in need of care.
I just don't see how this translates into Japanese men being afraid of confrontation.
