Biggest problem I have had since season 4 is that there are just way too many worthless throwaway characters in the main cast who keep surviving year in and year out

My guess is the priest and either tara or rosita dont make it through this season. Honestly maggie doesnt get much screen time either but i want her to stay

I think the writers have switched the comic version of alexandria tyrese with the t.v. version of morgan. Those who're familiar with the comic version know how that ends. Morgan seems to have a level of compassion for the undead. Probably because of his wife and son. He's in a space where he feels humans are the real threat. He doesn't use projectiles to kill zombies, he thinks that type of death belongs to human. I still think morgan is holding back and rick disrespecting him could lead to a major betrayal issue

I would say we have an overabundance of alphas on the squad right now.
We got Michonne, Daryl, Abraham, Morgan, and even Glenn is acting like a boss right now. And they all have no problems speaking up when they disagree with Rick.
The only difference between all of them and Shane is that none of them are jealous simps who want Rick's girl and are using that as their motivation to second guess every move Rick makes.

I've been watching since Season 1. Its ones of my favorite shows. The season premiere was just ok though.

My guess is the group doesn't have the gas to spare burning what looked like a few hundred walkers. Even if they did have the gas there are more disadvantages to burning them than keeping them around. One, the sound of the walkers will draw more walkers into the pit, a plus for them. Burning them would create a giant cloud of smoke and that could possibly draw scavengers or unwanted people (Rick was already of the mindset to stop going out to look for survivors).

It's best to just let them decay naturally.

Darryl & Abaham are soldiers only and Glenn is a bizzitch. Michonne will question him but not really challenge him and so far, Morgan seems more off-put by the actions. All Rick has to say is "this is the way it is now" and everyone else just says "Okay". Say what you want about Shane, but he was never not right. Hell, Rick just did the same thing as Shane by lusting after dude's wife.

Someone needs to step up as a conscience, or as a true #2. Morgan and Michonne seem to be primed for those roles buthave not yet acted upon them.

That's why I don't even watch Talking Dead. Hardwick pisses me off.

Honestly, someone's gotta die or the show will suffer. There were characters that grew to become alphas that just regressed in the past few seasons. Maggie and Glenn grew to be strong characters only to be put in the background. Carol was weak and groomed into this silent assassin. Someone from the Ricktatorship has to die for others to be grow.
