DMX is on two songs on that album. I remember wondering who the hell dude with the gravel voice was back then.

Yep. Especially on "Take Whats Yours". First time I heard X and I was an instant fan. He sounded like he was the incredible Hulk or some shyt, lol. I remember being surprised that he was smaller on video than I thought.

That kind of experience is impossible today (loving a rapper's voice well before you have any idea what they look like).

man, this is a hard question to answer cuz EVERY rapper on here brought they A game. I might have to go with sheik or styles p. but everyone was sick on here from mase to black rob to jada to dmx as well.
