When I was kid I legit thought this dude was really a Mexican but found out a few years ago looking at his wrestling page he was really Cuban. I know he wrestled in Mexico but I still dont get him getting away with portraying a Mexican chioli That's like a Jamaican or someone from Africa protraying a African American stereotype.

I would assume it's the fact that he had deep Mexican wrestling ties. He didn't grow up in Mexico, but by the time he was in WCW he probably lived in Mexico as long as he lived in the States.

Having said that, I was real surprised the first time I was informed that he was Cuban.
