Why didn't they just release the OG versions of songs for Pac's posthumous albums?

Maybe selling power. They released the ones people were more used to. I bet the plan was later down the road to release the OG versions on another album as part of an anniversary of his death.

EDIT oops, do not know why I wrote 10th anniversary

probably becaause of sample reasons and he was dissing people so there u go.
and death row also.

That makes sense. But they still released the songs with disses but just edited out any obvious disses. :yeshrug:

But that sampling clearance always becomes a problem.

this was my shyt:banderas:...and sumtimes his flow match the OG beat so much better than the remake....but wasn't it something about they didn't know who did some of the beats:ohhh:? I don't know the process of putting shyt in the vault but with so much music maybe it would be hard tracking everybody down and doing the credits and shyt:manny:...or they could've just thought the sound needed a update......I aint too mad about them changing shyt now that you can pretty much find all the og songs now:blessed:...but I remember when I bought the album and just wanted a remasterd version of a lot of them shyts. the remake was rarely better than the og

Had those makeveli bootlegs back then..they were better than the ones on the actual albums.."when we ride on our enemies" with the rose Royce sample:banderas:

Truth. Had every Makaveli Bootleg that came out. R U Still Down? (Remember Me) is still my Piff album other than Me against the world.

A song like until the end of time, thugz mansion and still ballin blew up cuz of remade beats. It's fukkin ridiculous how Pac was heavy on the radio in the early 2000s after being dead for 5 years. Show me another artist in any other genera that did that shyt

this shyt tho

This was on the above the rim soundtrack cassette version as a bonus track. That reminds me, who the fukk was the Riddler? It's like he did this one song & was never heard from again.

I can understand samples being the reason, but I believe another reason was to make his shiit sound like the other bullshiit out at the time.

Still I Rise was a real good album though. Even though they changed some of the songs, they still used producers that Pac worked with. Johnny J had to change some of the songs, but the album came out really good.

That Eminem bullshiit was awful.

What's crazy about the Makaveli bootlegs is people were making bootlegs of the bootlegs and totally fukked it all up. Some have tracks that aren't even Pac (Crazy from 504 Boyz). The original Makaveli bootlegs are done by E-A-Ski and the Eastside Express.

Still I Rise was dope. Even the beats they switched up slightly from the OG sounded good (Still I Rise, Teardrops and Closed Caskets).
