Why Do People Hate Haiti/Haitians ?

Probably get the most hate from Dominicans.

I got love for Haitians. I remember in school being ragged on, picked on, or jumped just because I was from Jamaica from them Yankee bwoy. Them Haitians had it worst than me cause they was considered the low man on the totem pole maybe because they spoke French and had that snooty stank French attitude but I later realize it was from being proud people. #1 black woman to me from all my experience has been Haitian women. This one chic I got pregnant was Haitian and she was the only one I ever wanted to keep that baby. She treated a breh good, sex was I called it voodoo p*ssy. Every Haitian chic I ever fukked had good p*ssy

Most people were of Jamaican brehs because we get if we have to. Like, take a machete and start chopping people up level of .

Mostly ignorance. In Miami, Hispanics are on that shyt so some of their assumptions rub off on AA's (Voodoo, they eat cats, poor, etc.)

Wasn't until Middle School I started meeting Haitians and being cool with em, now even moreso I got a ton of respect for Haiti and its' culture, even named a metal project of mine after the breh Dutty Boukman

Because of ignorance. Haiti is the poorest country in the Western Hemisphere and so many people look down on us here in the USA. I live in a town(technically village) that has a large Haitian population and SO MANY c00n shyt said about Haitians especially when I was in HS.

Never heard of Jamaicans hating on us. I only really experienced that Haitian hate growing up in middle/high school from AA's but it seems to have died down with the rise of Haitians stunting and getting it in so to speak with the shyt talkers. Nowadays dudes be wanting to be Haitian. It's pretty much ignorance and shyt.

This is something I've noticed that is prevalent not just among Americans but amongst other Caribbean people and Europeans

It can't just be about the Revolution because Haitians face discrimination from other majority black /Caribbean nations like Bahamas , DR, Cuba etc.

Funny as JA has a long standing Obeah tradition that has been practiced alongside the myriad of Christian denominations since the Spaniards stole the island, called it Santiago and slaughtered the indigenous population.

Don't forget that Haiti is the first black nation outside of Africa so don't think for a second that propaganda and Christianity hasn't played a significant role in the ideas that some JA residents hold in regards to Haitians or other "small" islands either.

I look at Spain and the Spainidards like cause of the senseless following. Hell, I'm Jamaican and the looks of disappointment when I tell some Hispanic women that I'm not one of them since I'm fair skinned is PRICELESS

They are at the thought of even going at it to a Jamaican, but they openly express hatred of Haitians, but both islands have the most pride of blackness in the Caribbean.

But the hatred of Haitian people is senseless, c00nish, and all out irrational.
