But if I were to come out and say that it is wrong to like non-darkskinned artist, I would be deem a darkie hater.
We would be penalize for disliking someone simply because their light.
Now we are being penalize because we like light skinned BLACK artists in addition to dark ones?
Black women can't win because it's always going to be something. That's why I don't even try.
My music collection is filled with black white, and everything in between. I even listen to Punjabi music.
Of course and proud of it. I don't need to claim other races for some validation and it disgust me to see so many blacks do it. My mom is lighter than me and she would rather put on a tub of acid tham have someone call her mixed as "compliment". I think biracials/mixed people are beautiful people too but I don't want to be them.

She doesn't look mixed to me though. My mom has like 9 brothers and sisters and they come in different hues (some dark and some as light as that girl) and non of them are directly mixed with white.
