Beyoncé wasn't made to compete with dark black women but with white women. She wasn't some talentless hack that got put on because of her light skin. Most black women have criticised bey not for being light pushing out dark girls but for adopting what they perceive at whiteness.

I don't get how black women incessantly complain about Colorism & the black mans supposedly inherent love for redbones yet only support black women that look absolutely nothing like them.
We went from having the likes of India. Arie, Monica, Lil Kim, Brandy, Missy, Erykah Badu, Foxy Brown, TLC (Chilli), Lauryn Hill, Mary J, Toni Braxton etc dominate the 90s music scene to the current era where they refuse to let anyone that isn't Beyonce or Rihanna get any shine because of tribalism & idol worship.

Stop playing stupid. No one said that. However stop Frontin black people come in a range of colors but we tend to gather at a mean ie the majority of his happen to be of a certain hue. You may not like this hue you may want to hide this fact behind light skinned ambassadors and tokens but we know these brights are a minority. Stop over representing them.

Look at the demographics of a Beyonce concert. Almost all cacs and nonblacks. All these lighter skinned artists with mainstream success achieved it by having a large cac fanbase, this is why many of them are silent or indifferent towards Black issues because they don't want to mess up their money.
