Charlie has an absolutely gorgeous swing.

But the thing about golf at the highest levels is that the mental component is equally (if not more) important than the technical aspects. And I think, personally, that its going to be difficult for a kid who grew up in a billionaire household to match that sort of 'edge'. Not to mention the additional pressure & expectations he will have placed on him being the son of a legend.

To offset these headwinds, he will need to have a ambition/hunger/focus even greater than his father, which is highly unlikely.

Again- he will all have the training and resources to go pro and win a couple of tournaments. But its highly unlikely that he is even in the same realm as his father.

We've seen so many young golfers come up, have a great 2-3 year run and then fade away. I think Charlie could have one of those short runs.

To be truly special he needs the type of mentality Tiger had and that's hard to imagine.

Tiger is his pops, the mentality shouldn't be questioned. That's what Charlie saw/has seen growing up. :manny:

It will be a matter of if he can execute, as he will be the one swinging the club.

He has the GOAT as his father/mentor. The potential is there, but will he succeed.

These 2 are likely the next great father-son duo. :mjpls: could never

it's literally unheard of for a generational talent in any sport to produce another generational talent as their off spring. despite all the advantages the younger one will have, they will NEVER have the same hunger that the parent had to make it to the mountain top.

Seems like yesterday he was a lil kid gleefully following his dad after Tiger won the masters.

From what we know from the outside, Tiger has been very careful about not being like his own pops and letting Charlie do what he wants. Kid might love golf right now but who knows when he continues to grow up and the shadow of Tiger becomes bigger and increasingly annoying.

Tiger was basically nurtured to be a stone cold killer golfer since he was like 4 years old. That's not the case with Charlie at all.

That doesn't mean Charlie wont succeed, but the fact he has Tiger's genes does not equate to him being built the same.

It certainly could have been integrated into Tiger but it now radiates from him. I'm sure Charlie has been around him enough to catch that wave is all I'm saying. He has the same mannerisms, swing and etc on the course for example.

I'm more so along the lines that Tigers pops unlocked what was already inside of him based on how he carried himself as a kid :manny:

We've seen journeyman produce greats so anything is possible. see Steph, klay, even mahomes could've been a beast in baseball but chose football. Those are just 3 examples
