:mjlol: the deal was always a limited time offer though... The price cut wasn't permanent. They only did this for holiday sales.

Sales will drop of anyway as they always do. If a person is buying a X1 in januarary and beyond $50 won't influence their decision. If so they'll just wait till Black Friday 2015

I don't think sales will fall off...isn't tax season coming up real soon?

I doubt 50 dollars is gonna stop someone from buying it if they really want it.

They did what they had to do to move units this holiday. :yeshrug:

The ps4 is viewed as the better buy at $400 and Sony can't afford to go to $349.

But at the same price as the 4 (which it was before the promo) it was still losing.

that 50 bucks was probably their profit margin at a minimum.

Wait until the fukkery when kids & adults go get the system after january....

"I thought the system was $350 now plus 2 free games?" :dwillhuh:

"Um that deal was only up to January 2nd sir. So now you only have to pay $400 and all games for the xbox one are back at full price of $60" :troll:

"What the fukk, fukk that shyt!" :pacspit:

This is a huge mistake. There is no value in the system until Black Friday 2015.

Weren't there deals of $350 with two games and a $50 gift card at some places? The system was basically being sold for $200. Now they're asking people to pay twice that for the next 11 months? :playoffs?:

It greatly helped sales short term, but the system has no worth anymore. Microsoft has put on a clinic in how NOT to handle a system.
