He's averaging the least minutes of his career cause they're giving them to West, Looney, Bell, and soon to be Damian. He feels he should play more but teams playing small ball makes it hard to keep him on the floor. They also said they feel like they're overstocked on bigs and want to add a shooter to the bench. Javale was also upset about them only offering him the minimum this summer. I still want him to stay. Flip Zaza or maybe even Kevon for a shooter.

So is 'The Athletic' where this trade McGee story originated?

If so, I'm not 100% sold on the validity of the story.....they (The Athletic) seem very clickbaity recently.....this sounds like one of those times (to me).

With that said, if they have to trade a center, it kind of has to be McGee....No one is taking Looney off our hands, Zaza is very key for some important matchups (see Cavs/Tristan Thompson) so he's out. I'd hate to lose him because it feels like a fit, but I can understand if they make that call..
