I heard Chi got blocks called Dipset and D-Block lol. Ain't 50 one of if not Sosa's favorite rapper.

A lot of the shyt nikkas say we ripped from Chicago was already being done at a street level on dvds during the YG'z and YB'z era. A lot of the shyt Chicago nikkas was rocking in 2012 we was already wearing it in '09.

Coli nikkas talk about what they don't know. They think we scared of Chiraq nikkas was Rowdy p*ssy when he made Beam Jawn was Bam Bino p*ssy when he beefed with 600 Breezy. Nikkas got shyt twisted thinking NY soft.

Everybody from coast to coast saying thot but we gotta get hated on it for it. :bryan:

The truth is the influence is mutual and there's a lot of similarities between both. Also there's a lot of love between both cities Rap scenes right now. I posted a flick like a month or so with nothing but Chi, NY, Philly artists together.
Yeah Fredo Santana's set is named Frontstreet/Dipset and 600Breezy's set is named 600/L'a Gang/D-Block after is homies L'a Capone and D-Thang that got killed. But the only reason NY gets flack for adopting culture of other regions is because NY nikkas stay shyting on everybody else. It's never been a question of whether other regions fukk with NY because it's well known we did, The limiting factor in all regions coming together has always been NY. Also other regions not being afraid of you doesn't mean they think you're soft. Brownsville, Far Rock, The Bronx etc aren't places i'd want to be at night

Not to mention all of y'all are biting the South anyway so.

Exactly my point. Drill and trap is so similar only difference is really lyrical content. Ion hear atl rappers talm bout pulling up on the opps, banging on wax, or hitting stains. And I dont hear Chicago rappers talm bout juugin and finessin, or whipping in the pot.

This is a stupid game to play. Everybody influences everybody if we gon follow that line of thinking then NYC the only original city cause they created rap.
Chicago rappers stay talking about finessin, trappin, pourin up fours and deuces of lean, poppin zans (flats). Hell even some of their gang sets are named after southern record labels (Bricksquad, No Limit, Young Money etc). Fly Boy Gang (FBG) is modeled after Freebandz Gang and Famous Dex used to call himself Black Migo Dex. Hell even 600Breezy is a fan of and bit Young Scooter and Black Migos. Y'all all bitin the south.

Lol all of your gang chiefs come from the south. Chicago gangs don't have a strong presence down here maybe in the late 80s-early 90s but once Hoover and Fort got locked and the structure fell that was it. You still have some lingering GD and Vice Lord sets but they're spread out and mostly focus on trappin like every other street nikka down there. Not to mention alot of the nikkas dropping bodies in the chi aren't Chicago natives but southern transplants who got put on a set and started putting in work. All in all the south and the midwest have always been brothers/cliqued up theirs no need for there to be any plex between us.

Ny youngins mos def are influenced by chicago music which was itself influenced by that NY gritty music so its full circle really.

And tbh even though current NY music is like drill, it got its own touch and swag, its easy to differenciate new york rapper fron a chi town one, even when it comes to clothes, new york the trendsetters for every other region, that euro soccer jersey wave is a NY thing, bmw tracksuits too, ny cats way flyer

They're complaining about other cities biting their style b/c they're not making any money like that:yeshrug: You never hear sosa or durk of famous dex saying this b/c they're on a paper chase.

but you can't front, chicago slag has been appropriated the fukk out of in teh past like 4/5 years. :ld: probably the most influential rap scene after ATL.

I mean, Im hearing dudes outhere using slang words that we use to use in the 90's

I disagree with NY being the trendsetters of hip hop. Since the mid 2000s the south has been the biggest influence on the sound and look of the culture. And the only difference between NY and Chicago's drill music is that Chicago artist are alot more believable.
