I forget what year it was but in the "best matches" thread he had a joint w Gargano i peeped it to see if he has improved since the bullet club days and dude is legit worse in every way and even shrunk.
His high school play theater style is THE worst respected main event style of match I've ever seen. Don't understand it, think it's beyond ridiculous and laugh out loud funny (at how bad it is) and the way he wrestles in way that's impossible for me to believe in is one of the biggest disconnects I've ever had with a wrestling fanbase. . I learned from the Christian shyt (which low key I did not mind because dude was the saving grace for the Dub in 2021) that a gimmick will always be a gimmick. It got the TSC talking and it had folks imagining the most asinine shyt, when in reality it was the obvious suspects and more to come.No different from when Heyman would turn off the lights like Teddy P in the late 70s to surprise the fans, or WWE with their Rumble surprises, or even GCW with their successful way of having people buy their events.
Bottom line, "The Forbidden Door" had me for a second but once the shyt became a every week occurrence without no payoff, I just stop giving a fukk and embrace the memes

They set up a whole bunch of shyt too so I think he was smart in not only showcasing the new talent but also teasing what's gonna come next for a lot of people so fans can get hyped and tune in the coming weeks. I think the only important program that didn't get progression was Danielson and Mox (it got a brief mention on commentary), which they are apparently saving for Rampage.
