It depends if Inner Circle is still around. But since this is NOT WWE, he would need a Rival. I could see Sammy G or Haggar beating him up when he comes back, blaming him for not keeping in touch. That or he can still go after Moxley. Its really hard to see when AEW is unpredictable.

Despite having just watched Colt Cabana during his time in NWA not more than a few weeks ago, I totally forgot how much I don't like him.
Of all the people available to be signed AEW picks Colt Cabana.
