"Used to" is the key phrase as the last time there was a year long storyline culmination at WM was over 20 years ago at WM 12. Even Taker vs HBK story from 25 to 26 wasn't like a year long angle, it was hinted at a few times during the year and didn't really pick up until WM season like every Taker feud. At best, you can get a Summerslam to WM build, but really the "long builds" for Wrestlemania matches over the past idk 2 decades has been teased at Survivor Series ignored until Rumble.

They dont even call it "the grand daddy of em all" anymore

I just remember wrestlemania was the big show. Even if the title match didnt have a feud based on 2 guys. It was at least 1 mans journey to get the main event for at least a year . Royal rumble was a key. None of that shyt exists anymore. Royal rumble is another joke. Rollins won this year had a big asss shyt feud wit his shield friend and theyre back together 3 weeks later. And rollins won the rumble and his title shot was an after thought. Barely interacted wit lesnar the whole time. I bet noone can even remember nakamura won last year.

Knowin i only paid 10 bucks to be able to see Takeover, The Hall of Fame, and 8 hours of WM aint so bad
