So much this. Its been that way for me since I found out about underground hip hop when I was 19. Once I tapped into MF Doom, Madlib, and all of those dudes...the rabbit hole got deeper. I started listening to stuff like Jazz, Bossa Nova, and even some Electronic music. Websites like Soundcloud and Bandcamp helped guide me in the direction, along with just dikking around on Youtube to find some exclusive piff that's unheard of from the norm.
shyt like this is why i literally look at people who still listen to FM radio like

there's literally millions of piff songs underground and cats still listening to a damn billboard top 10

You just don't know breh. Like we usually play the radio in the backroom of my job and I'm like "dudes listen to this shyt
?" I remember flipping on some of my heavy stuff (Lo-Fi beat tapes and Moonchild). I'm all heading to the trailer to unload like this
, when I got out they put it on the pop station we usually play in the back
. When I DJ at the job, I just throw on a 80s and 90s r and b mix to have middle ground
Music is universal. The words sound different but the sound is powerful
