WWE Friday Night Smackdown delivered 2.043 million viewers for Fox, according to the overnight numbers listed by Showbuzzdaily.com. The viewership count was up from the 2.025 final number from last week (last week’s overnight number was 2.04 million viewers). Friday’s first hour delivered 2.030 million viewers, while the second hour produced 2.055 million viewers.

I fear that Vince will use this as a reason to put Charles on more, even though we know she's not the reason for the rating.

This, combined with the tweet above are hilarious. I guess Daniel Bryan just said fukk it, and decided to make his own two person NJPW in WWE roster.

Matter of fact, this is maybe the most Ibushi and Tanahashi ass storyline you could possibly have without physically having either Ibushi or Tanahashi make an appearance.

Watched this and their Elimination Chamber match back to back.

These dudes are geniuses, and if Vince and company had any sense, these would be star making performances for Gulak. We kind of forget that Bryan can easily have these 4+ star mat classics because he's tailored his style to the WWE so well, but it's such a treat when he gets to operate like this.

As for the matches themselves, I personally thought the IC Title tournament match may have been better than the Elimination Chamber match on first viewing. It was everything that match was with additional learned psychology, and worked in a way where the empty arena environment actually added to it a bit as opposed to detracting from it. That's about as amazing as working a match in 2020 WWE that wouldn't have been out of place in prime UWFi. Excellent stuff.
