Checking the schedule, the first Osaka show is gonna be off the charts. Will Ishii pin the champ to earn himself his first IWGP title match? :lupe:

Naito vs Ibushi :is can't lose for either of them considering that match will be a key tie-breaker before Budokan

What match y'all think ends up being the mandatory time limit draw? Omega vs Ibushi?.
It was too hard to follow the CC when all these big matches were done in silence in front of 64 fans. Felt bad mayne :wow:

The first 5 days were booked in building were the optics were awful, but after that it was pretty jammed packed for almost every show. The last 5 shows were legit "super no vacancy", including the last 3 in Korakuen. People should've been more patient and enjoyed all the piff :mjcry: :mjcry:

I was so hyped for it too. I was going to follow AJPW this year and then as soon as I do they go to a streaming service and run all of the biggest CC matches in empty arenas :beli:

It gonna be either two of ZSJ/Sanada/Ishii will give Omega an L.
Thinking Ibushi will beat Naito
and Omega and Ibushi will be a draw.

The thing I like most about the G1 is I got no fukking idea who's going to take it.

For real? I've always thought the G-1 is very predictable - every year you have a clear favorite, one guy who might take it from the favorite and maybe one darkhorse - but the beauty of it all is the journey to the final day.

The last winner that I did not see coming was Kojima.

Then what's predictable about this year?

I wouldn't be shocked if Okada, Naito, Omega, or Tana won but still its not like WWE where we know for a fact whats going to happen months/years in advance.

This year the clear favorite is Okada - not kayfabe wise, but going by Gedo's patterns - and the only question is if Ibushi or Naito can pull the "upset" and beat him in the Final.

Omega and Tana would be a huge surprise, just like every year when we go to the final day in each block and we see familiar names wrestling a "semifinal" with a clear favorite.

PS: I retract what I said, I didn't see Omega winning nor reaching the Final (up until the last few days) either.

:heh: It's amazing to me that Naito is so over that he can have the whole crowd booing and shyting on him,

:mjlol: whole arena chanting his name when he starts losing and mounting a comeback

Oh dude I mark out for Naito but when he spits on people I'm always like "What a POS" :_redshoes:

G1 Climax 28 Block Standings (as of July 24):
A Block:
1) “Switchblade” Jay White – 6 points (3-1-0)
2) EVIL – 6 points (3-1-0)
3) Hiroshi Tanahashi – 6 points (3-1-0)
4) Togi Makabe – 4 points (2-2-0)
5) Michael Elgin – 4 points (2-2-0)
6) Minoru Suzuki – 4 points (2-2-0)
7) Kazuchika Okada – 4 points (2-2-0)
8) Hangman Page – 2 points (1-3-0)
9) Bad Luck Fale – 2 points (1-3-0)
10) YOSHI-HASHI – 2 points (1-3-0)

B Block:
1) Kenny Omega – 6 points (3-0-0)
2) Kota Ibushi – 4 points (2-1-0)
3) SANADA – 4 points (2-1-0)
4) Tetsuya Naito – 4 points (2-1-0)
5) Tomohiro Ishii – 4 points (2-1-0)
6) Tama Tonga – 2 points (1-2-0)
7) Hirooki Goto – 2 points (1-2-0)
8) Zack Sabre Jr. – 2 points (1-2-0)
9) Toru Yano – 2 points (1-2-0)
10) Juice Robinson – 0 points (0-3-0)

I still stand by my prediction of Naito vs Okada with Naito going to face Kenny. Ibushi match will be the loss that puts Kenny below Naito for block B
