@Jmare007 people really sleep on that Tana/Goto '07 joint. That is basically Tana figuring out the new style fully and it'd be years before people caught up. And the legendary political move of the century of Tana going to the CC. He was on fire that whole tournament Probably start to finish a better series of matches than he's had in any G1.

Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Tomohiro Ishii (NJPW G1 Climax 2013)

I can't find it streaming but the 2010 G1 final is such a fun match, too.

But yeah, between the MiSu and Okada matches at KOPW 12/13, Tana has two of hands down the greatest wrestling matches there's ever been. If there's a Mount Rushmore of matches one of those gotta be on it

Tana's Champion Carnival was what elevated him from very good-great in my eyes to legit best in the world conversation. 08' had him tearing shyt up in the CC - a fun Kawada match included, which is insane in retrospect, Kawada really worked everybody - and then Danielson going supernova in the 16 Carat Gold, what a year

You are right about the 2010 Finals, I remember not having much expectations because Kojima was always a meh performer to me, but that match was

2012-13 was Tana's version of Jordan in 98'. Even though by that point his formula was starting to wear out for me, dude could deliver like no one else in wrestling when it clicked. It's hard to believe what him and MiSu did in that match and how well it worked, specially for such a long match. Truly special shyt.

sanada was actually dope in TNA tho. had a run with the x-division belt & everything. its just crazy how dude is wild different now. ive been watching him in NJPW for years now and didn't peep it til I went back & watched a BDC-era show on PLUTO.
