Can someone present a legitimate and credible argument for why this is Obama's fault?

Not entirely his fault. But his grassroots Army being gutted and his picks for DNC Chair were terrible. Kaine and DWS only focused on raising money and the state parties were destroyed esp the last 5 yrs

Yet when u look @ his stats, he put up goat #s. He was basically Tim Duncan. What happened during his presidency is that he exposed just how racist this country still is. Had a white president did what he did they'd be carving a new face on Rushmore.
the argument is as simple as 'he left this country in better shape than his predecessor :yeshrug: the goal of any president

all these racist cocksuckers who talk about how he was the worst president of all time when he wasnt even worse than the one before him :heh:

now theres plenty of valid criticism you can make of obama, but its undeniable that a percentage of it is nothing more than about seeing a black man in the white house

this argument has been made and shut down hundreds of times since the election was over. nationally.

again, these extreme far leftists just flat out refuse to see any type of reality that goes against the notion that Obama did anything wrong.
they're like the north koreans of the west, and Obama is the kim jung un - they're brains simply can't compute it.

and when you point this out they call you a "trump supporter!"

black people collectively, are worse off now than we've ever been.
no use in posting the data or findings, his followers will dismiss them as racist right wing propaganda - nevermind the fact that we can SEE this visibly with our own eyes

but we don't care!! the only thing we seem to care about is protecting and preserving Obama and Michelle's legacy...it's the most embarrassing shyt to witness as a black man. :snoop:

It's more extreme center-leftists than actual leftists, I think. A lot of actual leftists are disillusioned with Obama, and have been critiquing him for the very factors that led to this flip. Remember, Bernie threatened to primary Obama in 2012. But yeah, your points about the polarization and ideological entrenchment of the center-left practitioners of identity politics is accurate. Obama is the pinnacle of their ideology, in that what someone looks like matters more than what they do. They will never abandon him. They will be the last hold outs as the nation moves past them and Obama's legacy is negatively reevaluated in history.

You are defeating your own argument. Hillary Clinton lost those counties not Obama stupid.

:mjlol:

What is true is a lot of whites voted Republicans in power in 2010, 2012 and 2014 at the state and local level as a backlash against the first black president and due to lower democratic voter turn out during mid-terms and as a result of Gerrymandering. Whites vote Republican 62%-38%. If minorities and young people don't show up, it's not a damn thing the President can do

This is demonstrable. But c00ns and cacs will try to rewrite history.

.

EDIT: i thought you were the one who argued "cacs cant stand a black president" - my bad

but the same people that voted for a BLACK MALE DEMOCRAT to be their president, turned around and voted for a WHITE MALE REPUBLICAN

this is clear evidence that the democrats policies failed them. they spoke with their votes.

now, fight the urge to reply back with the typical cliches: "c00n! fukk you! trump supporter! I don't have time for this!" and actually address this argument...

how does race factor into this voter turn around? :jbhmm:

:what:

Did you even read the post I was replying to? He said the reason for this Republican/Trump wave was that certain "cacs couldn't stand a black president". That's a bit strange to me, seeing as over 1/4 of the counties that voted for Obama twice went to Trump. If anything, this only bolsters my argument. If they were primarily motivated by race, why would they be willing to vote for a black man twice but unwilling to vote for white Hillary Clinton? "I can't stand a black president so much that I'm going to vote for one twice and then refuse to vote for his white successor."

Don't bother. The "c00ns and cacs" line of reasoning is infallible on this forum.

You are overestimating the number of counties that voted for Obamacare twice, but did note vote Hillary.

It is nowhere near a 1/4 nationwide. Otherwise it would have been a blowout for Trump.

The fact that white backlash at the state and local level is even being debated is :mindblown:

Like I said, only c00ns and idiots would argue against white backlash against Obama.

because it was a different electorate. because white people vote basically 70-30 for republicans any significant drop in participation from the groups that made up the obama coalition, means that those counties go republican when his name isn't on the ballot.

you assume that because a county went for obama in 2008 or 2012 that means the same exact people turn out to vote in that county in 2010, 2014 and 2016.

i love threads like this because you get to see all these people that cape for voter disenfranchisement. you all should be more troubled that white votes matter more simply because of the way districts are drawn. but that's something for minorities to concern themselves with.

:heh: Are you under the impression I just pulled that number out of my ass? If you believe it is an overestimation, take it up with the editorial board of the Washington Post.

MAP: The Obama voters who helped Trump win

And not only did white voters constitute less of the electorate in this election compared to 2012 and 2008, Trump captured a smaller share of them than Romney did, while increasing the black and hispanic vote share. Your "whitelash" theory is not based in facts.
