Unification matches have happened quite a bit, but that doesn't mean a champion should be part of the rankings.

But the original argument is about how winning matches means you go higher on the card. More money, trophies, advertizers, sponsors, interviews and ambassador opportunities. Jade won 50 matches and stayed at the midcard. The rankings never meant anything if random girls won 3 matches on Dark/Elevation and got a title shot.
