if they win 2-3 more rings during that time, let alone 4, they will generate 5x that at the very least.

plus they are moving to SF so up that to 7x that once they up those ticket prices.

:ohhh: that number does make sense over 4 years but salaries change and 1.3 billion over years a team like the Griz are paying Mike Conley like 20 mill a year ain't shyt.. Likely won't be that high but yeah.. At least the team would be spending their money the right way

I wonder what the Bulls are projected to spend in that time frame and on who :scust:

My guess is it's taking into account luxury tax bills which go up every year you stay in the tax to try to force teams to get back under the cap.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
I agree...the amount of luxury tax is the topic.

That estimate above is projected total salary, next year you'll have this -

Curry - $40 million
Durant - $30 million
Thompson / Dray - $35 million

$115 million between the 4 of them, the luxury tax threshold this year was $113 million. Also, you have a gang of FAs this summer - Iggy, Shaun, Clark, McGee, ZaZa, West. I gave KD a lower value than his max because I assume he'll want Shaun & Iggy to return, but that also comes with the prospect of some team under the cap offering Iggy a solid deal which the Warriors would have to match to keep him.

It's going to take a lot of finessing and roleplayers coming in under their market value to get that team to stay within reason of the luxury tax threshold, you only have 6 players under contract for next season, 7 really since Curry is a lock to return. You're going to need to find 8 players who are all ok with playing under their value to fill out the squad. You could legitimately have a team that has a $160 million salary next year.

You don't have any draft picks, you'd have to buy one.

Even giving out a ton of vet minimum contracts takes you up to $130 million in salary, that's without resigning Iguodala / Livingston. The Warriors are in uncharted territory here with the new CBA designed to make a team like yours more difficult to keep together.

After this year we'll have picks, our starting center is going to be Jones and he's on a rookie contract.
