Reasonable Doubt Is The Definition Of A Revisionist Classic. Vol. 1 And 2 were borderline Trash Albums.
Illmatic is an undeniable classic and the best album of the 3 artists, it was written is reaching rd levels of revisionist history of its quality and I am was just bleh.
Jay and nas didn't have a flawless run to start their careers. Kendrick has.

Vol 2 wasn' no damn classic.
The album is comparable to nas's third album but I Am at least had cuts like Small World, Nas is like, undying love, and the sequel to New York State of Mind. The fukk makes hard knock life a classic

What's alarming is how well they actually compare though
GKMC (let's start from here), Illmatic, and RD are all good debuts
DAMN is on par with Vol. 1 as containing both the best and worst of what Kendrick/Jay had to offer.
He doesn't have an album as bad as Vol. 2 yet, but at this rate, he will. Dude's been getting worse with every release.
TPAB might as well be I Am...some good songs but overall, I really don't care. At least Nas can fall back on the excuse that bootlegging killed the original plans for the project.
Kendrick hasn't put out an album as good as IWW and probably never will though. Sorry.
