Damn breh, I feel bad for you if you think 2 paragraphs is an essay. School must have been hard on you.

School was very good to me breh. Dont worry about it. :salute:
Its a message board you know how nikkas act lol.
Wasnt trying to shyt on you btw.

All facts tho. I'm far from a Mamba fan, but Kobe did it the right way. He wanted that W and the Lakers needed him to score a ridiculous amount of points to get it, so he did it. I guarantee you Kobe wouldn't be smiling ear to ear like an idiot after getting 70 in a comfortable loss like this soft chump Booker was. Kobe once had 62 after 3 quarters, Phil sat him, Kobe didn't say a word. Why? Because the Lakers had already secured the blowout win. Booker woulda thrown his tampon at the coach in that situation. That's why one is a legend and the other will be a trivia question in 15 years

Dont know about the chump part cause booker is still young but he got a promising career.
But i agree about the rest.

I don't know why people are surprised when blatant stat-padding isn't respected the same as doing something meaningful.

It isn't even that they lost, it's that he was looking at a 50-55 point game (great, nothing historical) when they stopped playing basketball and started playing "get Booker 70." Not just the shot jacking, it's the timeouts and the fouls and scoring points when the game well over.

Reminded me of The Admiral's 70 point game - I think they were doing the same things in that one.

He was a 7th seed. Which may be more impressive than chucking 46 times against one of the worst teams ever who lost 55 games
That same season he scored 62 in 3 quarters to blow out the eventual Western Conference champion Mavericks.

That or his ridiculously clutch 65 against the Brandon Roy led Blazers in ‘07 are both almost more impressive than 81, because higher level of competition and he was getting double and triple teamed.

because Kobe dropped 81. Plus with the way offense is these days, it's not surprising anymore when a STAR player drops 60, 70 points.

Not to take anything away from Booker and players that have scored 70 or more points but the main reason why we don't see it happen often is because 90 percent of the time when great players are on fire against bum ass teams with trash defense, their teams are usually ahead comfortably with the game already won.

if coaches let loose and risk potential injury by playing them in garbage time and shamelessly stat pad, 70 points is not unrealistic for players like Harden, AD, KD,Steph, Lillard etc when they get hot, especially in todays game where it's easier to score
