The thing with that is that they constantly task him with things like delivering the Wyatt promo after his death, the mens health its okay to cry promo, the slim jim ads, etc. He's not the perfect wrestler but he has busted his ass, has connected with the crowd and has been the workhorse who has not missed any major time which is remarkable considering his age and seeing his peers get extended breaks

I was watching a clip on YouTube and didn't know he was doing commentary, so I just heard his voice. I thought it was one of the regular commentators at first because of how much he blended in.

I know he wants to work backstage when he retires, but he would make a great full-time commentator.

Yeah, he didn't sound like a wrestler doing commentary (granted, pretty much every color commentator is a former wrestler, like with all sports) if that makes sense. It sounded like he specifically trained to do commentary because he fit in so well and didn't distract from the product.

It's like when JBL first came back to commentary in 2012 and he sounded great because of all the research and preparation he did. Eventually, he just sounded like what Vince wanted him to sound like. But when I think about guys like Matt Striker, that's the level Punk was at.
