LOS ANGELES – Sebastian Fundora defied physiology again Friday afternoon, when the 6-foot-6 southpaw easily made weight again for a 154-pound fight.
Fundora stepped on the scale at 153½ pounds for his bout against Carlos Ocampo on Saturday night at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California. Ocampo, who stands approximately seven inches shorter than Fundora, also weighed in at 153½ pounds at The Westin Los Angeles Airport.
The 24-year-old Fundora, of Coachella, California, and the 26-year-old Ocampo (33-1, 24 KOs), of Ensenada, Mexico, will fight for Fundora’s WBC interim super welterweight title. Showtime will televise their 12-round, 154-pound championship bout as the main event of “Showtime Championship Boxing” tripleheader scheduled to start at 10 p.m. ET and 7 p.m. PT.
Fundora (19-0-1, 13 KOs) won his interim championship by stopping Erickson Lubin (24-2, 17 KOs), of Orlando, Florida, following the ninth round of a definite “Fight of the Year” candidate April 9 at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. Ocampo (34-1, 22 KOs) has won 12 straight fights since Errol Spence Jr. (28-0, 22 KOs) stopped him with a body shot toward the end of the first round in their June 2018 fight for Spence’s IBF welterweight title at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.

Brolic... Alcoholics
It's not a bad tripleheader on paper

Not crazy about Ocampo being Fundora's opponent but I get it...Mell got a shytload of mandos to deal with and its not Fundora's turn yet

Adames vs Montiel should be a slugfest...If Montiel wins, then I'm going to really side eye Adames going forward...if Adames wins and by KO, im going to revisit the whole Charlo vs Adames conversation for those wanting to cut Mall some slack for what went down

Martinez vs Ancajas 2 is the FOTY candidate on paper and might steal the show again...Personally I think Ancajas took way too much punishment in the first fight and it will prolly get brutal as fukk the second time around
This at the old StubHub?
