Say what you want about both guys, but they left it all in the ring last night. Hell of a fight. 1 of my favorite HW fights in a long time.
Which is ironic because you had so many people that didn't want this fight, many people angry we didn't Fury/Joshua for all the belts. Yet I have a feeling that fight wouldn't have been as good or as entertaining as this fight
More irony: The reason that Fury and Wilder even agreed to fight in the 1st place was because they were using each other to gain leverage and get a better offer for a fight with Joshua. 3 years and 3 fights later, both these guys raised their profile to a level that I don't think either would have gotten off just fighting AJ.
Funny how boxing works sometimes![]()
I think people forget Fury was thought to be damaged goods before the first Wilder fight. He beat Wlad and faded into Bolivian for nearly 3 full years. Fought a couple tune ups where he didn't look all that great and then came the first Wilder fight where he was kind of an unknown quanitiy

. They are not getting into the ring with anyone that can legit hurt them. It will be fringe guys at best, and guys from other sports at worst. Floyd versus Logan was a whole ‘nother thing. Floyd is an old man in boxing terms. Also, he’s not a big puncher, and Logan had a huge size advantage on him. You think Logan would get in with Beterbiev? fukk no. I don’t even mind what they’re doing, but people need to stop acting like these dudes are about to start fighting top fighters in their weight classes. They’re not. They’re smarter than that.
