10 Countries That May Not Survive The Next 20 Years

It kind of depends on what the criteria are. If they mean countries that in 20 years won't have their present day borders then a lot more countries come in to play, but it's not like there won't be a country called Spain or the United Kingdom in 20 years. They might just be without Catalonia and Scotland/N Ireland.

If I had to name countries that could potentially not exist in 20 years I'd go with:

Sudan
South Sudan
Taiwan
Guyana
Israel
Maldives

If the Scots or the Catalans succeeded in their quest for independence, what prevents the Northern Irish or Welsh from doing the same? Hard to call it UK when it's only England. And there are various separatist movements existing in Spain or might pop up if Catalonia is successful in its endeavor.

I still think Spain and the UK will be here 20 years from now tho.

Keeping it 100% I think most of the countries that currently exist in Africa will cease to exist, over the next 50-100 years.

They should've never been countries if you ask me They were fine before colonialism created Artificial States. Borders are constantly changing and causing conflict over everything. Africa would've been fine as a whole in the 21st century if everything was left alone

African nation-states could've filled up the list 2x if we're being honest. Mozambique is going to kill over in 6 months if a cure for AIDs doesn't get created in 5 days.

The spain and Belgium joints were interesting. Islamic state isn't a country though like no one acknowledges their statehood.
