10 hours of walking in NYC as a woman

Everyone knows the feeling, even if they don't admit it, when you see that homeless looking dude has his fukking target sights on you and heading your way to sweet talk his way into some coins in your pocket. Yeah there been times I've stopped and gave them something if I have it on me but more times or not I want to be left the fukk alone. If I'm walking about, I'm trying to get from point A to point B. Period.

I imagine this feels the same where you simply want to go about your business and you cann't even do that without someone bothering you. Its not rape but its damn annoying and in some cases creepy (i.e. the guy who followed her for 4 minutes)

Let's say a guy is wearing headphones and he dropped his keys or something and you're trying to get his attention but he can't hear you. Would you really grab him by the arm if he didn't hear you? At this point in life nothing. Been dealing with it for years sometimes I just want to get from point A to point B in peace. But if someone did approach me, I'd say look at how you're approaching the situation. Don't make me feel caged in or uncomfortable. Just approach me like a normal person. I don't know how else to express it.

Hate to interrupt but wouldnt initiating convo by saying "hello", "how are you today",.... Be considered approaching you like a normal person???
Maybe its the setting. Walking down a busy street trying to catch the attention of a young lady isnt always the easiest. So maybe if she was in a more controlled setting things would be different... Idk
There was nothing wrong with her saying "hi", "I'm okay" in return......AS SHE KEPT ON WALKING.
I'm sure MOST women would rather someone saying "hello" as oppose to "damn baby, look at that phat ass".
