IMO, there should be more dialogue on actual street harassment being done to women who have actually been through some traumatizing experiences. Exes and friends of mine have told me stories about men following them, groping them, and making inappropriate comments that make them feel uncomfortable and unsafe. I've also been witness to the crazy shyt nikkas will do to holla at a female. But when you have instances like the girl in the video walking down the street where alot of the comments aren't necessarily aggressive or harming in nature then there needs to be a line drawn on what is considered street harassment and what isn't. And having instances like this drowns out the complaints of actual women who have a gripe about street harassment and makes their concerns seem non-valid.
On the flipside, I've heard the same comments in the video being said to women on the street and the women respond to it positively. So it's kind of becomes a slippery slope of defining what is appropriate and what isn't. What one women might view as harassment, the other may view it a different way. I don't have a solution to a problem like this because in my opinion this comes to down to individual discretion and that level the choice is solely in the hands of the individual.
