There was really only two instances of "harassment" in that video and it was the two weirdos who followed her. From experience, there's no time or location. I mean look at the video. She was out from morning to night it seems. It's happened to me at any given time of the day as well. From white to black to spanish. White guys are probably the worst because you get bonus racism when you ignore them.
nikka, what are you talking about... Now you are turning this into an argument about me.... A logical fallacy...You won't even take a stance on it. You sound like a coward.
White feminist are behind the street harassment movement who's end game is to make specific forms of speaking, eyeballing or gesturing toward women illegal. As a black man you know white men will largely not be hit with these crimes as the faces of street harassment campaign have been black and Latino men in major cities.
Are you cool with the men in this video being charged with crimes you bytch ass nikka? Take a fukkin position.

And what if they laugh at your campaign and say they're going to keep cat calling you if you wear tight clothes and continue to expose your body.I think we need to do some cultural changes/awareness about respecting women's right to exist and be outside without being harassed. If you see a woman looking uncomfortable because creepy dude keeps trying to stare and talk to her, help put a stop to it. We do public campaigns all the time about eating better and staying away from drugs for kids, harassment awareness could be included. I don't have a problem with anyone speaking to me when there is a purpose or topic behind it - one that does not include my body.
And I don't think street harassment is done by only poor or men of color. College campuses especially have a bunch of white guys doing it. Eurotrash immigrants are the WORST offenders imo, aggressive as hell and relentless.
So what's the answer? That's one compliment from one guy, but if it is constant men all day long from the time you are 13 till you are 55, usually accompanying hungry stares and sometimes groping, it can wear on you over time and that's the part men don't know how to identify with. Here they are thinking it is just occasional compliments and it sounds positive, but it is creepy and violating to get it constantly. Most women here have probably been verbally harassed since they were underaged as well.

no, again, the gay argument is invalid because these women are potentially attracted to me. while I am not potentially (this word seems to be skipping over you), attracted to men.sad thing is, this just makes your argument even worse...
So answer this... If you were constantly hit on my gay men who were bigger and stronger than you.... All day, everyday, you would be okay with it?

nikka, what are you talking about... Now you are turning this into an argument about me.... A logical fallacy...
Let's stay on topic about the issue at hand...
I believe humans harassing other humans to the point of discomfort is wrong...
You're stance is?
That is what we are debating big guy... Not how much I have done in the community to combat street harassment...
(Which is still probably more than most)
Being charged? No I don't agree with that, but this is America, and you thirsty dumb nikkas in here ruining it for the rest of it
That's why I always keep in my earphones even if I'm not listening to music. I'll say hi or smile back if I want to![]()
Yes but this isn't exclusive to women
Anyone who lives in NYC deals with overly social strangers on the streets.

Having earphones on and not being able to hear me is grounds for me grabbing ya arm and sayin what's up

Exactly.
Andat some of the comments. It's not that you can't say hi but like @HoustonHeat said, we know the difference between a genuine hi and a "
Hi"
Hi" is negative?
