HAHAHAHAHA!!! This article is hilarious. Starting your own business takes years of work to even be somewhat successful at it. I tried and failed twice before I got my business off the ground and quite frankly, it's a rather modest income at that in comparison to the amount of work I have to do to maintain it. But I get everyone on the Coli is 22-25 years old, successful business owners and making 80-100k a year, all on that upper 5% wave.

I'm gonna lay it down for you, anyone that wants to knows the steps to owning a successful business go to the Higher Learning Threads and peep some knowledge, but in reality the vast majority of you will not succeed. It's ok to be an employee but the bigger picture is finding a job that utilizes your skills and allows you to make a living and pay down your debts while building your credit and learning good habits.

Starting a business, investments things of that sort take some level of capital, even if you take some of your frivolous spending money and put in small investments that grown over time take years before producing anything of real significance. There is no such thing as getting rich quick, it takes years of discipline.

In all honesty you shouldn't even consider this route until you have a 650+ credit score, little or no debt and have disposable income. But if you are flipping burgers or still in school, you aren't there yet. Sometimes we put the cart before the horse.

It's not a knock, it's just facts, everyone can't be business owners, especially guys as young as you, it's not impossible but it's very uncommon.

You don't need a real business to make money. All you need is a basic skill. You can buy property for cheap fix em up and rent em out or sell them. You can also use that skill to make more money for yourself on the side of your steady gig if you choose. It's more than one way to get money. But again most people don't have the patience for it. You can also use that skill to make more money for yourself on the side of your steady gig if you choose. It's more than one way to get money. But again most people don't have the patience for it. You can make nice money hauling junk, collecting trash, but thats beneath most people.

Where are you getting the money to start buying property and repairing it? Its a BUYERS market right now, not a sellers, so all ready your off to a bad start in a bad economy. Your gonna end up with some low income houses with dudes with no credit moving in, destroying your property, forcing you to evict them and all that shyt, and most of them gonna skimp you on the rent anyway, what you gonna do when 75% of your tenants tell you they aint got it this month, theyll get you back . Your gonna need to buy a few properties and hope one of them sells so you can keep your machine running, and shyt is not selling right now. So where are you getting capital to buy 3-4 properties and repair them? SO you are qualified to do, electrical,heating, plumbing, carpentry and other skills needed to fix up homes? You got money to fix A/C units and water heaters, replace the piping in the homes when fukkers break in and steal all your copper out of the fukk walls? You prolly gonna have to appliances if you renting them out... Look son,i know what your trying to say, but you really dont know what you would be getting your self into. Unless your stealing shyt out of housing developments and business, your not gonna make shyt getting stuff from residential trash. Lol at buying property with a 580 credit score, no real references and no plan for remodeling and rehabilitation of depressed properties. Good look in coming up with the thousands of dollars it takes to get a permit and applying for the tax abatements which you lose your eligibility for if they are filled out improperly, on top of the inspections which you have to pass yearly (which are fairly stringent in NJ). In todays economy, if you get 110% of the investment you made on that property you made out like a bandit. There is some money in junk but it's one of those businesses where you need to have contacts established in other forms of business, especially in heavy machinery or construction to do better than breaking even or just a slight increase based on your investment. It's much more difficult than these TV shows make it look.
