Black Moon was way too grimey compared to NBN and this is coming from KG's cousin.

He'd prosper in 2013 like 2chainz and Big Sean

Blu is one of my favourite rappers of all time but I don't think he's an underachiever tbh. That would imply that he was aiming for superstardom and I never got that impression with him. He dropped BTH, CRAC Knuckles & HFC (3 brilliant albums) all in relatively quick succession and none of them really had any tracks that could have cracked mainstream.

That was not an outlandish statement to make in 05 though. SaiGiddy at his best had the grimeyness of 50 and the introspection of Nas, with shades of G-Rap. Hindsight is 20/20.

I thought he was gonna be something like a Freeway or Beanie Sigel. I dont know where u get this Nas comparison from. Saigon is no where as talented as Nas

Yeah I hear you, it's just buckshot was so unique with his style, he would rap over some smooth a tribe called quest type production and be mixing the rudebwoy slang in with the g-shyt, but also mix some reality shyt in as well

Homie wasn't comparing their talents, just that Sai had the street but introspective quality of Nas. But I understand what you mean. Saigon reminded me more of early 50 with a mix of G Rap with the introspective twist. I didn't really get Free or Beanie vibes from him. Sai is nice in his own right tho. I just think he came along at the wrong time.
