not having referees fix games would help. game tonight was the first time ive felt a game was blatantly fixed since seattle/pitt super bowl. texans never had a chance. ref on the bottom side of the tv screen should be fully investigated, and fired. he either is completely incompetent at his job, or was influencing the outcome. either way get the fukk out

worst is shyt like 3rd and 15, and qb looks right and throws immediately. never looks left, but a db touched a guy 6 yards downfield on other side he never looked to so auto first down. or some hands to the face on some lineman. why arent yards applied and you get a first if the yards on the flag brings a first down? 2nd and 24 and some any lil thing is a first down automatically. idiotic

There's a lot of remarkably stupid ideas in this post, but let me deal with the glaringly obvious:
Tell me, O fixer of Leagues, how do you plan to deal with the decimal system...

If I get 20 yards, that means I get the first down and the extra...10 yards. Which means you'd rather gain 19 yards, so you'd get a 1st and 1 instead of 20 yards where you'd get a 1st and 10...


Do...you do understand how the number 10 works don't you?

Makes no sense. What if on 2nd and 7 at your own 20 yard line you get a 60 yard pass that lands you deep in enemy territory? What's the down and yard to go?

1. Scheduling is awful. eliminate the whole "if u finish in 3rd place, u play the 3rd place team of such and such division" etc. it creates random ass games between Tampa Bay & Chiefs etc. Should focus on building rivalries. create a Rivalry Week. i.e. 49ers/Raiders should play every year.. Pats/Seahawks, Eagles/Steelers.. Redskins/Ravens....etc.

I agree with this but they need to make the game less physical so you can play more games a season. Currently too physicall for that much of a toll on the body.

To me, mind you im from a football (soccer)/basketball/volleyball background here's what id do

1. PLAY EVERY TEAM at least once each season (thus the need for more games)
2. ELIMINATE PUNTING. If you cant score/move the ball you surrender it on 4th down at line of scrimmage no matter where you are, PERIOD.
3. ELIMINATE EXTRA POINTS - I dont get it . Why not just make the touchdown 7 points? In what other sport (not make-it take-it) do you, after scoring, get the ball back for an opportunity to add onto what you just scored if there is no penalty? shyt never made sense to me

Also too many fukking rules in the game. It's too structured/regulated. certain posions MUST wear certain numbers. You must be registered prior to the game to be under center? Who came up with all this shyt?

I've always wondered why the NFL only has one bye week. I'd expand the schedule to be 18 or 19 weeks and build in an extra bye week or two. It'll help with player health while overall making the league extra money by having the extra weeks of games.
