i knew greatness was coming when this dropped.

 

aiight fukk it, last time i'm gonna give him a chance but if this shyt is still full of his usual corny shyt then i'm not even gonna try anymore

 

it has a few classics but nah...so far gone >>> but the vibe/aura he had on this was magnificent...this was the point when he chose what direction musically to go because this was right before 40 shebib basically cultivated his sound and you could hear the influences of The Clipse, Weezy, Lupe, Kanye, and Little Brother in his rhymes and style

"Going in for life", "The Presentation", "Where To Now?", "Don't You Have a Man?", "Think good Thoughts", and "closer" were classics but most of it was him seeing what lane he could go in...replacement girl was a dud and that was like his first attempt at a single musically...

but comeback season/so far gone had me on the drake bandwagon early

This and so far gone made me a fan early, im actually a fan of his rapping, I just cant get with his singing for real.

for me this is not a classic classic mixtapes

Comeback Season was greatness. The display of decent rhyming, ok harmonizing and catchy hooks over dope samples was different and made Drake standout as a contender. So Far Gone was a great sequel. Drake is a puppy but he's a puppy that has quality, he does what he does very well.
