"New york streets where killas will walk like Pistol Pete..."

Anyone cop the early edition with the bonus disc with GOD, p*ssy Kills and that freestyle?

enlighten us how an album with

Made Ya Look
Revolutionary Warfare
Book of Rhymes
Get Down
Last Real nikka Alive
Dance
Thug Angel

is a disappointment

My post compared Stillmatic to GS and stated that while it was a great album, it was a letdown AFTER Stillmatic. You've listed songs from GS that you like. This is not responsive to my post. Also, "Thug Angel" wasn't a song on the copy of GS that I had. Are you referring to Thugs Mirror? Do you disagree that Stillmatic was a better album? IMO, Stillmatic was more artistic and adventurous. GS had great songs, but didn't break new ground the way Stillmatic did. Also, GS was more uneven.

My first purchase I had the regular version. I lost my big book of CDs and copped the joints with the bonus cuts, pure greatness. This and the lost tapes were my college life. Get down. Made You Look. Revolutionary Warfare. Book of Rhymes!! One of my favorite Nas joints. p*ssy Kills and that freestyle. The beat is crazy.

That's my GOAT :salute:

I rewind Heaven like 20 times, I wouldn't let the song :ohlawd:

If heaven was a mile away
Would I, fill the tank up with gas
And be out the front door in a flash
Before reconsidering, this hell with you

Because The Only Thing Anyone Remembers Off That Album Was Made Ya Look. :russ:

People remember Get Down and I Can too

Revolutionary Warfare, Warrior Song, Heaven Was a Mile Away, Dance, Mastermind, Book of Rhymes all seem to be remembered well too

I remember the two big flagship Hip-Hop stations debuted Made You Look and Bonnie & Clyde 2003 the same night on both shows (Friday in late October).
Even Tim Westwood who is the biggest dikkrider of the mainstream was like :what: about them using 2pac for that but being all :ooh: about Made You Look. Those two singles definetly shifted Nas popularity even more with the core hip hop heads. Jay got it back with the Black album, but yeah Made You Look was like that boom bap single people had been waiting for Nas to drop post-Illmatic and it was such a breath of fresh air in the era of Timbaland/Neptunes radio flooding the market in 2002. It was just so different and so Hip-Hop.

I still maintain Made You Look is one of the greatest Hip-Hop singles in the genre's history...like top 15-10. Dont care what anyone says.

:ahh: went off on Last Real nikkas Alive

nikkas started noticing my flow and was open when
The Golden Child closed em in with more style than them older men
Puff tried to start a label, Prince Rakeem had formed Wu-Tang
Snoop and Dre had a new thang
So Puff drove his new Range through Queensbridge Projects
He let me drive it, before Ready to Die hit
BIG and I hit blunts performing at the Arc
Next thing you knew, BIG blew and all the balling starts
He had Kim and his crew, I found Fox, only nikkas in New York with number one charts
BIG was ahead of his time, him and Raekwon my nikkas
But dig it, they couldn't get along
That's when Ghostface said it on the Purple tape
Bad Boy biting Nas album cover wait
BIG told me Rae was stealing my slang
And Rae told me out in Shaolin BIG would do the same thing
But I borrowed from both them nikkas
Jigga started to flow like us, but hit with 'Ain't No nikkas'
Had much Versace swagger
BIG admired the Brooklyn knight and it took him in as Iceberg the rapper
Today don't know nothing, about this bullshyt
There's more shyt than wanting to be this King of New York shyt
