It's because they feel their lives probably have no purpose so motherhood gives them purpose. Their lives are grim and are looking for a reason to live. They perpetuate the cycle of poverty by having children with dead beats because they have nothing else to live for. They don't love themselves much less their wombs, otherwise why would they continuously have children with these men? There's a real pathology behind that that's much deeper than just being dumb and reckless.
