Why would their salary play a part in how popular an athlete is? Seems like ESPN once again creating a contrived formula that creates talking points for their shows once again. At this point no way in hell is Durant more popular than Curry. I know plenty of non-basketball, non-sport fans who know who Curry is. A large part of it was Riley getting all that shine and that spreading to even non-basketball fans.
True about riley. A lot of people know about her but don't really know who curry is besides an american sports guy. Not on the heatles or kobe's level yet. Still should be above KD though.
