Agreed. I’m a die hard Neptunes/NERD fan and it’s like Chad/Shay found a hole in Pharrell’s schedule to come to LA to do music and Pharrell showed up with 12 tracks already done and instead was like “let’s do this photo shoot”. And just like that the album/art was done and Pharrell went on his way to go make some real money + music elsewhere because it’s business as usual (as it should be).

But this isn’t feeling like NERD to me. shyt feels like Pharrell is going for the bag on this one, Nigo styled everything, Adidas threw in some kicks + tracksuits and then some brand name features were cashed in for the lead singles.

This track with Future is the kinda shyt you give to Gwen and hope she can get a Hollaback Girl pt. 2 off that shyt.

There’s no live instrumentation so far, definitely haven’t heard any Chad involvement, plus no random ass Shay ad libs yet.

Yeah. You can tell they will always be family but just not rocking right now. Pharrell has too much going on to actually sit in a studio as NERD and make an album. They know it.

There’s a difference in a neptunes production and a pharrell production; these two they released are Pharrell and he’s credited as such.

May you disclose some of their dramas, please?
