Which free games did you download? Or did you download ‘em all?

This seems like a good deal, but whats REALLY going on here?

People signing up for PS+ anyway if they wanna play online on PS4, why they tryna drive up PS3 PSN sales? (I know it transfers over)
Hmmmmmmmmmmmm

You pay $50 and look, a thousand dollars worth of FREE GAMES!!! :ahh:
YOU LIKE THAT!!!
Cuz once you get a taste of a game rental service, next year you won't mind paying $10 a month to access PS1 and PS2 via there PS4 cloud

didn't @Kodie already make this thread?

same source...

btw, does this mean they're only gonna do one game a month with the PS4:

We’re not stopping there. We’ve already started Year Two off with a bang with the announcement that #DRIVECLUB PS Plus Edition will be available in the Instant Game Collection at launch and one digital title will rotate in each month.

edit: and what is the "PS Plus Edition"? back in my day we called a gimped promotional version of a game a "demo" :old:

They did try to say that about Killer Instinct :laff:
DriveClub sucks anyway, so this is sonys way to get somebody to try it (good luck sony)

This is good for PS3 owners, but this is a business. So Sony has something up there sleeves. For one, you buy this, you already have online multiplayer for PS4 so you don't really care that you have to pay for online multiplayer until that year is up.

What happens then? You be like "I need online + the free games makes it so its not even a big deal to pay online anymore!!!"

^^^ Thats the unspoken mantra of every psSTAN on this message board ^^^
All GEN having to pay for online play was the devil, now its standard on PS4 and I was told they would all move to PC if that happened. Yet they all still here still stanning and c00ning :dahell:
Sony sees this as well, but whats the catch then? There isn't a glaring catch. Its more of a "lets woo them before we screw them approach"

I believe that this will entice people to maybe get hooked on having that option so they'll pay for the Gaikai service. There cloud service is a horrible idea imo. I don't think most gamers will want to pay to play games they don't care for anymore. Plus with emulators n shyt, there are cheaper solutions. They gotta draw ppl into that, and the games themselves shouldn't be enough. Just a theory. I knew looking at this angle would make people be like :troll: but there is truth in this trolling

I can't be made at free, and it would be great if xbox gave out free game, but I don't have time for all of those games. I got games like bioshock 2, fable 3, turok, assassins creed one...all games I got new $60, but never played because I was playing something else. So free is free even tho they are rentals. I don't mind paying for games I want tho. I'm probably only going to have about 5 games for xbox and 2 for ps4

I hope xbox does something like this just because free is free, but I'm sure I'm going to be spending my time on titan fall, or spark

They already doing this (FableIII now)
For Xbox One, and PS4 games will be going the free to play model so just giving out free games isn't gonna happen. Not at the start of a gen anyways. Free to play eliminates the need to give away games the way they are doing now. I see them going the route that makes them more money. If you was a game maker, would you rather your game be on PS+ and you get a small cut out of that, or your game available to everyone, and you get all the money from in game purchases?

Both setups are free to the consumer, but only one is profitable for the developer. So its not even up for debate which system will win out. When DriveClub PS+ edition drops and its viewed as a glorified demo? What I'm saying will make that much more sense to you consumers :manny:
