I'm not really shocked by the loyalty of the moderation staff because they get paid to post and moderate those forums. Well, I take that back, maybe the mods don't, but the admins do.

There comes a natural sense of loyalty when you're "employed" or chosen as caretaker for a certain place. When you see it dying, you feel a sense of failure. But ultimately, mods like Tre, Exo, and Mel had no bearing on where the forum was headed. They were like hall monitors, and we all know hall monitors had no say in the school operation or budget. So they shouldn't feel like failures, they shouldn't need to defend the forum or in the end even remain loyal to it. Because they didn't come in as mods, they were posters there first, and posters they remain(ed). So the site failed them as well as it did us.

SOHH is a community, not a physical address. Continue to participate in this community. Don't be tethered to a failed website.

I don't see the point of in-fighting here. People got fed up with SOHH's forums being second class and it took a mass Exodus for them to really acknowledge the issue. Gotta hand it to the owners here for giving the people what they wanted, and successfully too.

The fact that you get to say what you want and not get banned is a good thing.Dont have to worry about mods locking and deleting threads for no reason.

Remember when everyone complained about the state of the Coliseum a year ago after those shytty Coli podcasts and it raised issues as to how shyt was going? I think everyone agreed things needed to improve. A year later, there was improvement on many fronts. Threads got a little better. The shytty troll-like ones would get spotted quicker and eliminated faster. Posters that didn't need to be there were found faster and dealt with. I can't speak for the rest of the mods, but some of the unpopular decisions in regards to posters banned or whatever, that came from actually heeding the advice of what other regular posters on the site wanted. Think about it.

Hell Liggins you're a TSC regular just like me. You couldn't stand R=G, and in spite of that, we could legitimately argue that TSC by far was the best run subforum in the whole fukkin site. Why? Concentrated crew of posters, e-kliqed up or not, ridiculous opinions left and right but the threads were crazy, discussion even for wrestling sparked really good and informative threads, and it was always funny. No subforum had a better balance of all that than TSC. The posters there got it. Some in the Coliseum did not.
