Once you start playing in 4k going back to 1080 is an eyesore lol. Theres definitely a big difference so OP mustve not seen some good 4k content cuz its clear as day!

you sure that's not just a placebo effect to justify yo purchase? :ld:

I only have 1 4K TV. and it's only 55". so while I can notice the improvement, it's not mindblowing at that size.

cable and over the air TV still isn't broadcasting in 1080p consistently, so I agree that 4K is wildly overrated since it's not the standard format content is broadcast in.

There’s tons of 4K content out there, why are you being a slave to broadcast standards.

1080p 60FPS looks nice though, especially those twitch streamers with a high level camera setup.

I still have my 1080P television. It also runs at 120fps. Thing is, I've never seen it run at 120fps. I'm still going to a 4K television next year but graphically, I stopped being super impressed by graphics in the PS3/360 era. Don't get me wrong, I see the improvements made over time but memory serves me correctly, the last time I was truly floored was the Bioshock 1 demo. Everything outside of that was basically, eh, cool trick or something to that effect.

you're not completely wrong. We've hit a steep part of diminishing returns on resolution.

things can only get so sharp. If you can do it that's cool but if you don't want to waste the money there's no real reason to upgrade.

Gaming is hit or miss. But movies and other 4K content. Go look at cable then go look at a 4K UHD blu ray that dropped within the past two years. I was watching Bumblebee on the LG the other day and :wow:

Yeah, I think now is the time that the movie/TV content makes it worth it. I game on a monitor anyway, but I have all the big streaming options. Does HBO Max have 4K content?
