I was a bit disappointed in Yarde’s effort and him letting Benavidez on front foot the whole fight, I expected the same effort he showed against Beterbiev.

I was never a big fan of Benavidez but he’s very strong and he’s not going anywhere, anytime soon.
Regardless of not being a fan I was feeling sorry for him for being blatantly ducked by Canelo and take my hats off for the risks he started to take in recent years instead of waiting for the (never coming) Canelo payday. It will be tough to beat him, Bivol got the right style to do so but Benavidez is a live dog there too.

David can't fight going backwards. He won't be able to push beterbiev back because Artur is a wrecking ball with way more physical strength. Artur will push David back and force him into exchanges and catch him with a bomb. They know David gets eaten by beterbiev. That's why they're running to cruiserweight.
Taking Ramirez at 200 is a duck without a doubt, but truthfully nobody is fighting Beterbiev unless it's a belt or a mandatory.

Let's be real, that fight (Beterbiev v Benavidez) is a crazy fight, but I don't know about 'eats him alive', its a 50/50 fight, but styles make fights and thats not a good look for Benavidez.

You're right, it was a very pedestrian challenge, he remained relaxed from rnds 1-5, but whatever that game plan was, it fell apart quickly once he got snot rocked.

Perhaps he understands his stamina, hence his apprehension to throw much at all. At least with the Beterbiev fight he had some excellent rounds, and in a few stages had Beterbiev hurt with the lead hook.

Even though Abdullah won the title, Top Rank should still move him around like he's a developing fighter
- That jab needs ALOT of work. It was barely even effective, had no power or force behind it. It allowed Sam Noakes to close the distance so easily
- His head movement is sub-par
- Does not know how to set traps at all

Maybe get him with the same fighters Keyshawn fought when he was on the come up. Some rough and tumble guys, and maybe a pure boxer in there as well. If he faces any of the big dogs right now in and around his weight class, Shakur, Tank, Keyshawn, etc he'll get outclassed. I even see Lamont Roach giving Abdullah alot of problems

You really think this is a duck?

I'm surprised people can't see the plan. Bivol is just coming back from surgery and being out all year. He's not fighting David next. I think the Saudis want to wrap up the trilogy with Beterbiev.

Canelo Alvarez just lost and will likely lose to Terence again. His star is falling. David wants to take over the Mexican holidays. I can 100npercent guarantee he will fight Zurdo in May and win just fine, and then go back down in Sept for Msxican independence day and fight Bivol. So far David has ducked no one and has said several times he will fight Bivol and beat him. Beterbiev doesn't really have much left for David to be that wary. This is a very strategic move by David and the Saudis

NOPE, we gonna gonna do that

Turki said himself, he had no plans to make a trilogy, that was not in his plans AT ALL. There was even hesitation to even make the 2nd fight because the powers that be wanted Beterbiev to face bigger names or for Beterbiev to go to Cruiserweight himself. But Turki allowed the 2nd fight cause of the controversial decision in the 1st fight. That Chris Mannix tweet was telling. "Benavidez was offered a Beterbiev fight, but didn't want to face him without a belt"

Look at the trepidation in his voice a couple months ago, almost did not even want Beterbiev on the same card as him this fight in November. Then he made an ABSOLUTE LIE "I-I-I was only offered Anthony Yarde, I wasn't offered the Beterbiev fight at all"

So is the argument he's ducking beterbiev or Bivol or both?
