How is fighting Gzodyk (sp?), Merrell and Yarde 3 trash fights? Man sounds like pure hate and not even valid critiques.

I'm including the zurdo fight. Morell is the only decent fight he's had since leaving 168. That's 3 out of 4 trash fights. Gzodyk was completely washed up. Yarde washed. Zurdo is a slow footed sloth who been ducking opetaia. One of the most boring fighters in the whole sport.

If David wanted to run to cruiser to avoid beterbiev then at least fight opetaia. Then I could respect the sentiment. Go fight the number 1 guy with the ring belt and prove you're the best. Fighting a guy who's already been dominated by bivol and who's actively ducking the number 1 guy is trash. Nobody asked for this. Nobody wanted it. Zurdo should be stripped of his title for even taking it. This is why I can't wait for these sanctioning bodies to go extinct.

Yarde was the number 4 guy in the division though? This critique is weird bro. A lot of people in here picked Yarde by KO or by decision. The number 1 guy with the titles doesn't want to fight. David wants to be undisputed. He has the other belts that were dropped by bivol. Why the hell would he fight Beterbiev for nothing?

You mean the same benavidez who's still actively calling out canelo even though canelo doesn't have any titles?....doesn't wanna fight beterbiev for nothing but he's more than happy to fight canelo for "nothing":russ:.....he just fought Anthony yarde for nothing. Why not Artur?

After canelo lost to bud david said he still wants canelo for his legacy and also for the fans. That's David's whole M.O. now. He fights "for the fans". Well there's not a more fan friendly fight out there for him than Artur beterbiev. It would be the best victory of his career by far and would be huge for his legacy. Just call a spade a spade. He's shook and he's gonna run to cruiser to wait for the perfect opportunity to come back. i.e once beterbiev is out of the picture. Only way David comes back is if bivol wins that trilogy fight. If Artur wins he's staying at cruiser for good and will say he can't make the weight anymore.

Once again. NOBODY asked for a zurdo Ramirez fight. It's trash and meaningless.

He most likely beats Zurdo but that should be the end of the line, he's not beating Opetaia. So the only thing he's getting out of this move is the bragging rights to say he won titles at CW. Fair enough but Zurdo holding 2 belts tells you the story about how good the division is now...
And for the bolded part, if I know it right he used to be a fat kid who started boxing as a means to lose weight so it would be ironic if he'd balloon up after his retirement.
Ehh, what makes you say he doesn’t beat Opetaia? You can’t make that assertion based off Opetaia’s resume, he has two exceptional wins against a world class champion in Bredis, but the rest of his opposition has all been a rung below the top tier.

Benavidez is a real, real boxer, not a fighter, he lands a lot of shots and scores every round, can knock guys out, excellent 12 round stamina etc.

Opetaia is exceptional, great fundamentals and can score and also bang, but like Benavidez, he can get hit clean, and in Opetaia’s case, he has been tagged a lot in the latter rounds of longer fights, his defence has looked concerning on occasions in this respect.

That’s coming from a huge Opetaia supporter, I have even attended his fights here domestically.

Brolic... Alcoholics
Was busy most of the weekend. Finally got around to watching everything.

Mason is slowly becoming THAT youngin for me. Dude showed some real grit. Damn good fight from him and Noakes. Now Sassy Schofield on the internet talking about Noakes was robbed :martin:

Bam slipped that punch perfectly. That was probably the best he's looked since schooling Edwards. And that's saying something considering how he beat up Estrada.

Haney did everything perfect except close it out properly. Kinda reminded me of his fight against Prograis. He clearly was better than Norman but I think he could've been more dominant than he was. And this ain't it for Norman. He can easily come back and snatch up a belt at 147 from one of the other champs. He'll be aight.

I'm not going to discredit or disparage Benevidez but Yarde didn't even try to fight so I'm not sure what to take away from this one. It'll be nice to see him and Zurdo get it crackin' next year. I'm with it.
