Did not need 23 minutes of this promo, but I'm not gonna complain that much about it.

Punk took MJF to school there, even if MJF got some nice shots in (again, half as much MJF would probably be twice as potent). Punk had enough material in there for 2 or 3 promos.

You didn’t need it….. but there’s been a few niccas in here for months complaining about a long promo and been wanting it for a minute.

Hopefully they thirst is quenched

You know, MJF's good and all, but he does seem like he's lacking in comparison to Punk. That Miz line killed any bite his promo had.

I think MJF is great but Punk smoked him in this segment. Granted, MJF had the tougher role considering he had to speak 80% more than Punk but he rambled too long and Punk used his mic time perfectly.

Still, considering it was like a 15-18 minute promo segment, he held his own nicely. And I think the winner of their eventual match will become the next AEW Title contender.

Yes.

But those two facing off was damn near as anticipated as a match. Tony Khan was smart to book that in front of a sold out crowd in Chicago
