11/27 DAZN: Teofimo Lopez vs George Kambosos Jr (WBA, IBF, WBO, Ring Lightweight Title Match)

It's being shoved down his throat in the sense that alot of ppl feel it's the natural next fight for George. And with that assumed stance comes a position of power potentially for Haney at the negotiating table. So Lou doing the right thing by downplaying it cuz the reality is this is a business and they're not gonna take less money to fight a Haney when they could get alot more facing someone else. As a fan? I want the Haney unification. As a objective fan of the sport, I get that Team George should sell their next fight to the highest bidder.

Bob paying for fights? he wouldn't even put up for teo and devin but he will for another kambosos when he didn't believe in the first . Hearn will put up for the fight, he has too cause devin on show by show contract he was willing to put up 4-5m for teo he will same for kambosos they'll get it done.

Let's be clear- Bob would've put up $$ for Teo v Haney, just not the $$$ both fighters would be asking for since, if we're being objective here, Teo v Haney isn't a money fighting where Bob would get back what he puts in. Both fighters wanted bank. It's also part of the reason why he didn't put up the money Teo was asking for v Kambosos- not enough return on investment.

However I def feel Bob would break out the bank for a Kambosos v Lopez 2 rematch since obviously Kambosos' value has increased after last night, whereas before last night he was a guy who had some issues with Selby and Bey. I could even see Bob paying Kambosos to fight Loma next. The whole point is as a result of his win last night, Kambosos has more value. Enough value to warrant a payday not just from Bob but anybody. The highest bidder will fight Kambosos next and rightfully so.

I know, I peeped. But we all know boxers say one thing and their teams get the final word when the dust settles. Also Kambosos himself said in the Beyond the Bell interview on DAZN after the fight that he wants the 4 Kings cuz he's the Emperor lol.

I genuinely don't think it's the biggest payday for George. He could make alot more $$$ against Tank, Loma, Garcia, hell even a Teo rematch on ESPN may get him a bigger check. Haney has always been a high risk low reward option.

I don't place too much stock in what fighters say after a fight. Alot of emotions swirling about. Imo the Takeover took a big hit yesterday and a rematch, if they could scure it, would give Lopez the chance to right the ship. Trying to forget this happened won't be possible. Lopez should try to make this right if possible.

I actually could see Bob forking over the $$$ since now it makes sense for him. Kambosos has way more value rn and the chance to get those 135 belts back on TR/ESPN is enough to merit bringing out the big $$$.

Lastly, TMT def doesn't care about names bro lol. Have you seen Tanks resume lololol!?!? They're doing PPVs with Romero, Cruz and Barrios for crying out loud lol. They're all about maximum reward and minimum risk.

But you're right- TMT and EVERYONE else should be forking up $$$ to secure a Kambosos fight to lock up those belts. I could see Hearn digging deep into the bank tho than everyone else cuz this is his golden opportunity to elevate Haneys value, something he has struggled with up to this point.

Great fight, especially the 2nd half cuz that's where the FOTY energy really manifested.

Teo was too riled up and fought with too much emotions and it cost him. nikka was walking right into punches that he could have avoided if had just settled down. Plus he needs to get away from trying to shoulder roll everything. He was looking more like Yarde than James Toney while doing it. He needed to keep both hands up and he neglected the body. He did surge late and make the fight closer, but he lost clearly. Prolly only won 4 rds in my book. His dad was hot and cold with the corner advice. One rd its, take your time, next rd, its why haven't you gotten rid of this fukking guy yet. lol. shyt was a mess

Kambosos had a great gameplan and looked more fluid than usual. He set traps, countered, pushed the tempo when needed, boxed and fought when he had too. He always changed it up. He did get timed on defense at times, but dude took them shots and fired back.

Teo need to move up to 140, fight a Zepeda or go straight to Taylor. Either way he's prolly the underdog to both.

Was Teofimo brought along too fast but got lucky vs Loma? Cause at times he still looks a little raw or is his pops just that bad of a trainer?

a little of both but mostly just his dad needs to be fired. teo is physically gifted enough to beat anybody at this weight even if he hasnt really refined his boxing IQ. problem is he has outgrown the usefulness of his dad. he needs a real trainer and an honest, humble look in the mirror.

Bad hangover right now. I still stand by my boy though man. I need to watch the fight again. It’s different watching it in person versus on tv in a way. It felt close but I don’t mind Kambosos getting the W.

His pops is trash. But if Teo came out fighting like a dumbass against Loma, it likely would’ve been the same result as this. It’s a combination of overconfidence and not being prepared. He started moving real funny once he got those belts. I honestly thought the writing was on the wall for this type of loss.

Hopefully it humbles him and gets his mind right.

Different styles, Kambosos was more than ok with standing in the pocket and trading, or jumping in range suddenly and power punching.
Loma has his groove that he has to get into and part of that is to confuse the opponent and make him hesitant, make him shell up. Trading in the pocket is not Loma's bread and butter, it's pressure where he has the opponent befuddled. Lopez applied smart pressure at him which made him back off instead of trading with Lopez, I guess we saw why in the 12th round where Loma stood and trade and got lit up and hurt.

Been telling @Conscious Pilot for some time, but the biggest flaws to me for teo has always been his jab and combination work. Even in his wins nakatani/ comey people overlooked his flaws. That comey fight he was 1 second from getting knocked out himself

Ehhh, perhaps. Zepeda is the legit 2nd best in the division. That's an even fight at best. Teo might be a slight favorite due to popularity, but real nikkas know that's a tough fight.

Dude just lost to Kambosos who is less heralded than Zepeda with lesser wins. If Zepeda lands the same shots on Teo, that nikka sleeping.

Only way Teo does a rematch if its at 140. He can't make 135 no more.
